We at Gypset believe in the restorative benefits of music, whether the lyrics, or tune, or combination of both, the benefits of music is astonishing. Gypset showcases artists living the Gypsetter lifestyle, new and old, and up-and-coming talent. We share their stories, talents and music out there for the entire world to hear.
We had the pleasure of introducing our latest Series, Ritmo y Pasion! A Latin Tropical Fusion Night at Don Chente DTLA, venturing into different Latin Sounds, Merengue, Bachata, Reggeaton, Vallenato, Cumbia & Salsa, desde la Patagonia hasta los Estados Unidos.
Starting in preparation for the wonderful evening we learned the basic Salsa steps with the talented dancer, Nicole Gil, who jump-started the crowd, happy feet ready and engines flowing. Evolving in to the time to practice our teachings, the night took off with our first artist of the night, Brazilian-born twins Cesar y Thiago. To the rhythms of merengue blended with Reggaeton and bachata, a perfect fusion of the most alluring genres of Latin music, captivated the crowd with their smooth, sensual and unique sound.
The night evolved with the electrifying performance of Gato + La Picante Salsa, a Colombian-Argentinian-Latin American infused band that put everyone on the dance floor with happy feet to the Sexy Rhythm of Salsa. The crowd was singing & dancing to some of the greatest Salsa hits from Joe Arroyo, El Gran Combo, Grupo Niche and many more.
We closed the Latin Tropical Fusion night in grand style, Tian took the stage transporting the crowd to the streets of Colombia. The fusions of Folk, Cumbia, Vallenato, pop, from Carlos Vives, Fonseca, Juanes and Tian’s own music with his new single “Es Usted” brought up the party to a whole new level.
The energy was lively, the music pulsated with vibrant rhythms, and the beautiful crowd danced the night away to the music of the 3 amazingly talented artists. Couldn’t have asked for more. We are music lovers, our job is to expose the astonishing talent that is everywhere. Join us in this wonderful musical journey and support local talent at www.gypsetmagazine.com. See you at our next showcase!
