“The Quiet Shadow shoe design was born from an original Quiet Life artwork piece called the ‘Cosmos’. The Cosmos artwork is an integral part of The Quiet Life’s brand history and a stand out piece that has been used in key styles and products through The Quiet Life’s collections. So the Shadow 5000 model was naturally the go to trainer silhouette from Saucony to use as a canvas for the Cosmos art. Integrating the Cosmos printed 300D nylon panels on both sides and the back of the shoe, with nubuck panelling and nubuck perforated toe box, tongue and back of shoe details. Along with the embossed Quiet Life type hits on the heel, leather inside lining and the creatively designed woven labels on the tongue and inside sole. The Cosmos print subtly blends in with the black nubuck fabric detail on the front of the shoe, and is contrasted by the ‘Tiffany’ blue and cool grey nubuck fabric details on the back of the shoe, tongue and Saucony three dots design. The shoe is finished off with a subtle speckled grey on the side of the sole and a black sole detail.
We feel that the art work, colours and fabrics chosen for the design of the shoe, combined with the classic Saucony silhouette, all align to produce a premium finished collaboration trainer.” An 11 piece apparel collection rounds out this collaboration. There are 4 “dad” hats, 2 t-shirts, 2 long sleeves and a summer weight hooded pullover. All designed by Quiet Life founder and creative director Andy Mueller. In celebration of launch, The Quiet life will be hosting a pre-release event with music, drinks and giveaways at their flagship store ( @thequietlifestore ) in Highland Park ( Los Angles ) on June 4th from noon-4pm.
A limited number of shoes and apparel will be available starting at 11am.
