Latin American Music Awards” (Latin AMAs) Nominees

Telemundo announced today music performers for its upcoming third annual “Latin American Music Awards” (Latin AMAs). The impressive list includes: Spanish pop singer Abraham Mateo, Mexican Rock diva Alejandra Guzman, Cuban pop music group Angeles, leading Regional Mexican music group Banda MS, world renowned R&B singer Chris Brown, “trap” leading singer Bad Bunny, Mexican music and online phenomenon Christian Nodal, Cuban rhythmic duo Gente de Zona, pop sensation Gloria Trevi, leading duo Jesse & Joy, Colombian romantic singer Manuel Medrano, Spanish pop singer Natalia Jimenez, Spanish musician, singer, and songwriter Pablo Alboran, Multi-platinum award-winning, Latin superstar Prince Royce, and Hip-Hop legend Spiff TV. Produced by Telemundo and Somos Productions, the awards ceremony will broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA, at 9pm/8c on Thursday, October 26, 2017, and will be preceded by the red carpet pre-show “La Alfombra de Latin AMAs” at 8pm/7c.

Fans from the United States and Puerto Rico have until October 17 to place their vote online for their favorite artists at www.LatinAMAs.com/vota, and fans worldwide can vote via Twitter by posting a tweet that contains first and last name of the nominee, category and the hashtag #LatinAMAs.

Seven of this year’s nominees have confirmed their participation as performers at this year’s event, including multi-platinum award-winning, Latin superstar Prince Royce, a five-time nominee this year; leading regional Mexican music group Banda MS and a four-time nominee this year; three-time nominee, Mexican music sensation Christian Nodal whose single “Adios Amor,” is already a signature song in the Mexican regional music landscape; Cuban rhythmic duo Gente de Zona, and two-time nominees, who recently collaborated with Jennifer Lopez in the single “Ni Tu Ni Yo;” Latin Rock-Pop legends Gloria Trevi and Alejandra Guzman who will take a break from their highly successful co-headlining tour to perform at the Latin AMA’s; and pop music leading duo Jesse & Joy who recently collaborated with Gente de Zona with “3 A.M.”

In addition, the renowned stage of the coveted awards will also feature performances by Abraham Mateo, whose recent collaboration with CNCO “Quisiera (Ballad version)” has earned him notoriety in Latin America; former bachata group from Cuba, Angeles, which has become a pop sensation and is often referred to as the Caribbean Justin Biebers; Bad Bunny who has taken “trap” music to an unprecedented popularity; Pop R&B phenomenon Chris Brown; Colombian romantic singer Manuel Medrano, one of the most promising new voices in the music industry; Spanish pop singer Natalia Jimenez who last year released her third solo album “Homenaje a la Gran Señora,” a tribute album to late singer Jenni Rivera; Spanish musician, singer, and songwriter Pablo Alboran; and Hip-Hop legend Spiff TV, known for spearheading visuals like French Montana’s “No Shopping” video featuring Drake and working alongside rap heavyweights like Diddy and Rick Ross.

The “Latin AMAs” honors artists in the genres of Pop/Rock, Regional Mexican, Urban, and Tropical, as well as categories for Favorite Crossover Artist, Favorite Collaboration, New Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, among others. The “Latin AMAs” nominees are based on key fan interactions with music, including (but not limited to) sales, airplay, streaming and social activity tracked by Billboard through its data partners Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.
