HULU Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Array of New Latino Programming
Lineup features current telenovelas and reality series from Univision Network and Estrella TV, as well as Fuse documentaries and popular Disney Junior programs in Spanish
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15/16 – 10/15/16), Hulu will be premiering a powerful lineup of buzzworthy programs solidifying its status as one of the most robust Spanish- and English-language Latino premium content providers available through a streaming service in the U.S.
The content features next-day access to episodes from four new Univision programs, including novelas Despertar Contigo, El Color de la Pasión, and A Que No Me Dejas, as well as season two of La Banda, the hit singing competition series created by Simon Cowell (The X Factor, America’s Got Talent) and produced by Ricky Martin.
This offering expands upon Hulu’s multi-year content agreement with Univision that brings hundreds of hours of top-rated Spanish-language variety shows, comedies, reality series, and novelas, including favorites like Mi Corazón es Tuyo, Un Camino al Destino and Pasión y Poder, as well as the current hit starring real-life couple Angelique Boyer and Sebastián Rulli, Tres Veces Ana, which will air it’s final episode on Hulu on October 11th.
In addition, during the first week of Hispanic Heritage Month, Hulu will launch the fourth season of Estrella TV’s hit reality series, Rica Famosa Latina, as well as the Spanish versions of Disney Junior’s acclaimed animated series Bunnytown and Handy Manny (Manny a La Obra), bolstering its collection of exclusive, top-rated kids programming “en español,” which includes hit animated series such as Doc McStuffins (Disney Junior), Curious George (NBC Universal), Sonic Boom (Cartoon Network), Zorro The Chronicles, and El Chavo, among many more.
To round out the celebration, Hulu will light-up three English-language programs from the millennial targeted Fuse network, including the documentary Jennifer Lopez: Her Life. Her Journey., as well as docuseries Los Jets, executive produced by Jennifer Lopez and Pastport, which takes Hispanic celebrities back to their country of origin to reconnect them with their roots.

In Despertar Contigo, Pablo is happy being the bodyguard of Antonia, a floral-industry mogul, but when he meets Maia, a wealthy young girl, he falls in love with her and has to pretend to be a man of her stature in order to win her love.

Adriana suffers a terrible accident and only her baby Lucia survives. Rebeca takes advantage of the situation and marries Alonso, but the relationship is unhappy. As time passes, a grown up Lucia finds the potential for true love with Marcelo, but secrets threaten to keep them apart. Will their love survive?

A Que No Me Dejas is a sweet story of young love, where despite obstacles and betrayal, love does triumph, if not in the present at least it will in future generations.
