Guisados the Traditional Homestyle Braises made its debut in Downtown Los Angeles this weekend. The third location for the already established Guisados. Born in Boyle Heights in December 2010, expanded to Echo Park and now DTLA. Guisados was created with a simple menu, one that reminds us of home and how Latin American abuelitas, tias, and mamas spent her afternoons. The smell of chiles and meat simmering in a stew, wafting through the house as the sun goes down. It’s that homemade flavor that makes Guisados simply “the best tacos of LA”.

In addition to the amazing traditional food, Guisados supports local art. In 2011 Guisados established the Featured Artist Program in a continuous effort to display local art and photography. Through the years, artists have benefited having their work in front of a multitude of visitors from all over the world, some have attained great recognition, others merely given a chance to put their work together and grow as an artist.
