This Thursday, January 11th, The Music Center announced Grand Park’s spring programming line-up, which continues the celebration of the park’s fifth anniversary.  Grand Park’s spring season includes the return of some of the park’s most popular free activities and events, including Grand Park’s spring lunchtime concerts and Earth Day L.A., and celebrates the diversity and excellence of L.A.-based artists with the launch of Grand Park’s Our L.A. Voices – L.A. Arts Festival.

“In the sprawling Los Angeles metropolis, Grand Park provides both a place and a reason for Angelenos to come together to experience the arts and each other in ways they never have before,” said Rachel Moore, president and CEO of The Music Center.  “In five short years under The Music Center’s leadership, Grand Park has become Los Angeles’ communal backyard – a safe space for people to express opinions about current events, for families to share a sunny Southern California afternoon, and a place for all to appreciate the many traditions and cultures of Los Angeles County,” she added.

Julia Diamond, interim director of Grand Park, offered, “Grand Park continues to be a place that celebrates and provides a platform for L.A. artists to showcase their talent.  This spring, the park welcomes back some of Los Angeles’ most beloved events and introduces new experiences that are sure to join the list of favorites.  From Grand Park’s Lunch à la Park Lunchtime Concerts featuring some of L.A.’s most promising young musicians, to the launch of Grand Park’s Our L.A. Voices – L.A. Arts Festival, Grand Park provides opportunities for Angelenos to share memorable experiences with their families and friends,” she explained.
