Billboard celebrates Buena Fe’s love song for Cuba

Featuring Omara Portuondo and Yomil and El Dany, “Musica Vital” has quickly notched 4 million views on Facebook with an unexpected multigenerational track and video.

Signed to Ricardo Arjona’s label, Metamorfosis, Buena Fe is due to release their new single “Sin Arrepentimientos” next February. The Cuban singer-songwriters have confirmed dates in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and the USA.

Buena Fe (Good Faith), the most important group of alternative/Latin music in Cuba, was born in 1999 in Guantanamo. Israel Rojas and Yoel Martinez came together with a single purpose and a sense of creating and performing great music. Buena Fe came to break the stereotypes of the soundscape of alternative music made in Cuba with influences of trova and mixing rhythms like rock, pop, guaracha, reggae and Flamenco among others. Their lyrics reflected in love stories and everyday life will make this original duo positioned as a favorite among the Latino audience.
